Morong, Bataan — Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH), the country’s leading distributor of compact vehicles, continues to strengthen its commitment to environmental conservation through a meaningful initiative at the Pawikan Conservation Center in Morong, Bataan.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, Suzuki donated one unit of the iconic Suzuki Jimny and adopted several pawikan nests under the Adopt-A-Pawikan Program, reaffirming its advocacy for sustainability and wildlife protection.
The activity coincided with the company’s Fronx Media and Bank Test Drive Event, where Suzuki’s media friends and banking partners took the latest Suzuki Fronx on a scenic drive to Bataan. Beyond showcasing the Fronx’s performance and versatility, the event also served as a platform to give back to the community and promote environmental awareness.
Through the donation of the Suzuki Jimny, the Pawikan Conservation Center will be better equipped to patrol coastal areas, transport rescued sea turtles, and monitor nesting sites efficiently — essential tasks that require a dependable and capable vehicle.
In addition, Suzuki Philippines’ adoption of pawikan nests will help protect endangered marine turtles by supporting nest monitoring, hatchling release, and educational initiatives for visitors and local communities. This effort reflects the brand’s long-term commitment to sustainability, staying true to its promise of being “By Your Side” — not only for its customers but also for the communities and environment it serves.
Suzuki Philippines executives, led by Mr. Norihide Takei, Director and General Manager for Automobile, formally handed over the Suzuki Jimny to Mr. Aurelio Llenarez, President of the Pawikan Conservation Center, together with Ms. Angeline Vigo, Manager of the Pawikan Conservation Center. The ceremonial turnover and nest adoption were held in the presence of Suzuki’s media and bank partners, who also participated in a short learning session on marine turtle conservation and hatchling care.

“At Suzuki, we believe that true progress means moving forward responsibly,” said Mr. Takei. “Through this initiative, we aim to stand by the communities that protect our natural heritage and inspire others to do the same.”
This CSR activity underscores Suzuki Philippines’ dedication to driving positive change — from the roads to the shores — while continuing to create value for people and the planet alike.
