All Systems Go for Suzuki Auto Festival Virtual Roadshow Apr 22 2021 All Systems Go for Suzuki Auto Festival Virtual Roadshow SPH set to launch 3rd leg of its Auto Festival Virtual Roadshow this coming April 24-25, 2021 April 17, 2021 -- Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH), the country’s pioneer compact car distributor, announces the return of its widely anticipated and fan-favorite Suzuki Auto Festival Virtual Roadshow. SPH is set to finally hold the 3rd leg of this prestigious event, which is scheduled to take place on the 24th and 25th of April, 2021.  In line with the successes of the first two legs of this event - which were previously held live on Suzuki Philippines’ Facebook page last September 19-20, 2020 and November 21-22, 2020 - Suzuki will once again have the pleasure of congregating and interacting with its loyal patrons, customers and even new members of the community to celebrate Suzuki’s successes through a virtual and interactive platform.  Due to the current limitations of the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine, and for the safety of the general public, Suzuki, as was the case last year, will once again host its Auto Fest Roadshow virtually on Suzuki Philippines’ Facebook page. This year’s show schedules are as follows – 11:00am, 3:00pm, and 6:00pm, while the Kids’ Scout Safety seminar will be held at 1:30pm.   Each show will be composed of different product features, exciting games for the participants with accompanying prizes, and an introduction of Suzuki’s newest segment: Dealer’s Spot. The new segment will allow Suzuki’s various dealer groups the opportunity to individually showcase their own network and unique promo offerings to the public.   Participants of the virtual event can look forward to exclusive promos as well, which will only be offered during the 2-day Virtual Auto Fest. Customers who inquire through Suzuki Auto’s “Get Quote” function on its website will be entitled to receive a whopping Php 10,000 discount, on top of current promotions already offered by Suzuki Philippines. Retail sales shall be completed up until the 30th of June, meaning units must be released by then for customers to avail of the additional discount. PROVISIONAL SAFEGUARD DUTY GUIDELINES Apr 12 2021 PROVISIONAL SAFEGUARD DUTY GUIDELINES A guide for our valued Suzuki customers Here are the specific guidelines on the implementation of the Provisional Safeguard Import Duty or (“Provisional SG Duty”) on imported vehicles as imposed by the Customs Memorandum Order (“CMO”) No. 06-2021 issued by the Bureau of Customs on February 1, 2021, in accordance with the Department of Trade and Industry's Department Administrative Order (“DAO”) No. 11-2020, as amended by DAO No. 21-01. The Provisional SG Duty shall not increase current SRP of our affected automobile units. However, a SPECIAL CASH DEPOSIT amounting to Php78,400 (Php70,000 SG duty+12% VAT) shall be collected by Suzuki Automobile Dealerships upon retail sale. Suzuki Models Covered APV Van Swift Celerio Vitara Ciaz XL7 Ertiga   Suzuki Models Not Covered S-Presso Carry Dzire Jimny   Transaction Guide Imposition of SG Duty on the sale of Suzuki Auto Units shall commence on April 5, 2021 for models affected and have been subjected to SG duty upon its importation until the 200-day period set under the CMO No. 6-2021 (Until August 19, 2021 as indicative timeline); Suzuki Dealership shall collect the SG Duty from the Customer upon retail sale; Suzuki Dealership shall issue its own BIR-Registered Acknowledgement Receipt (AR) and execute a Special Cash Deposit Agreement (SCDA) with the Customer upon receipt of the SG Duty; Suzuki Dealership and Customer shall treat the SG Duty as “additional payment to the purchased auto unit”, should PTC order the permanent imposition of safeguard duties pursuant to DTI Department Administrative Order No. 20-11, Series of 2020, wherein Dealership shall issue Sales Invoice (SI) adjustment to the Customer; Suzuki Dealership shall refund the Customer within a reasonable period and pursuant to its refund procedure, upon issuance of an order by the Philippine Tariff Commission, and the corresponding refund issued by the Bureau of Customs; During the refund, Dealership shall secure the following documents from the Customer: Customer's Original Copy of BIR-Registered issued by Dealership Photocopy of One Government issued ID with 3 specimen signature Should the Customer opt to process the refund thru Representative additionaldocuments shall be provided as below: Originally signed and dated authorization letter from the Customer Photocopy of One Government issued ID with 3 specimen signature of the representative; and Duly signed document as proof of Customer's receipt of the refund on SG Duty.
